Tibet Documentary (Propaganda) by China TV (2/6)
15 March 2009 by Marc in Asia-Pacific | PermalinkThis section really gets into what the Chinese government wants to expose about Tibet. They talk about the Dali Lama trading serfs as property, and how the Tibetan government lied to China about how they treated serfs as non-citizens. I don’t know how credible this is, considering how much emotional music they use, but if so, shame on Tibet.
Tibet Documentary (Propaganda) by China TV (1/6)
14 March 2009 by Marc in Asia-Pacific | PermalinkThis video from CCTV is the first in a 6 part series about Tibet’s serfs. It reeks of propaganda to me, but it’s still interesting to see what the Chinese government does to discredit the history of Tibet and the Dali Lama. They focus on the serfs and how the Tibetan government and upper class mistreated them.
